What is my role in making sure that my student-athletes are recognized at The Oklahoman’s All-City Prep Sports Awards?

  • Participation and responsiveness from our coaches and athletic directors is vital in order for student-athletes to receive recognition on this special night.
    1. As student-athletes are invited, their names will be posted here.
    2. After your student-athletes are selected, you will be notified via mail. You will receive a big blue envelope containing an invitation for each student-athlete winner that includes instructions on how to claim their ticket(s).
    3. We ask that you give the invitation to each of your student-athletes. Student-athletes must use the enclosed instructions to claim their ticket(s).

How will I know if one of my student-athletes is invited?

  • Student-athlete winners will be posted here as each season concludes. You will also be contacted via mail as your student-athletes are selected.

How will my student-athletes RSVP?

  • All student-athlete winners will be listed in The Oklahoman. We will also attempt to contact all athletic directors to extend an invitation to their student-athlete winners. Student-athletes who are listed as Big All-City or Little All-City in their sport in The Oklahoman will need to visit OKPrepSportsAwards.com, login to the Athlete Portal using the provided username and password, fill out the required fields in order to claim their free athlete ticket, and then click submit. They will receive a confirmation email that will contain their ticket to the event.
  • Student-athlete winners can also send a discount purchase link to up to two (2) people via email while claiming their own ticket.
  • Please note: family and friends of the student-athletes will need to purchase their tickets through the ticket site in a separate transaction to reserve their seats.

How will my student-athlete receive their ticket?

  • After they claim their ticket through the Athlete Portal, they will receive a confirmation email containing their ticket. They can either print the ticket or save it to their phone.

How many tickets will my student-athlete receive?

  • Student-athlete winners will receive 1 complimentary ticket for themselves.

How can I or my school purchase tickets?

  • Tickets or tables can be purchased by clicking the yellow “Purchase Tables Or Tickets” button.

How will I know if I have been invited?

  • Student-athlete winners will be posted here as each season concludes and will receive an invitation from your coach or athletic director. Student-athletes will need to claim their tickets to the event through the Athlete Portal on OKPrepSportsAwards.com.

How do I claim my ticket to the event and what is the deadline?

  • All student-athlete winners will be listed in The Oklahoman. We will also attempt to contact all athletic directors to extend an invitation to their student-athlete winners.   • Student-athlete winners who are listed as Big All-City or Little All-City in their sport in The Oklahoman will need to visit OKPrepSportsAwards.com, login to the Athlete Portal using the provided username and password, fill out the required fields in order to claim their free athlete ticket, and then click submit. After you claim your ticket through the Athlete Portal, you will receive a confirmation email containing their ticket. You can either print the ticket or save it to your phone.

How many tickets will I receive complimentary?

  • Student-athlete winners will receive 1 complimentary ticket for themselves. Any additional tickets can be purchased by clicking the yellow “Purchase Tables Or Tickets” button.

What will happen the night of the event?

  • Doors open at 5:30pm and the show starts at 6:30pm, so all ticket holders are welcome to arrive during this time. All attendees must have a ticket to enter the venue and will need to check-in to learn their table assignment. The show will feature various awards and celebrity guest, Peyton Manning. As award winners are announced they will be brought on stage to accept the award.

What do I do if I cannot attend the event?

  • If you have a prior engagement, please contact Will Gage at wgage@oklahoman.com to let us know you can’t make it. It is important that we know who is unable to attend the event.

How can my friends and family purchase additional tickets?

  • As a student-athlete winner, you can also send a discount purchase link to up to two (2) people via email while claiming your own ticket.
  • Additional tickets can be purchased by clicking the yellow “Purchase Tables Or Tickets” button; act fast before the event sells out.
